Gorman & Company, Inc. intends to transform Union Corners mixed-use development of commercial, retail, and residential buildings and green space for the neighboring community.
In addition to a medical clinic, we have been in discussions with several other potential commercial tenants including two grocery stores, restaurants and the relocation of the Hawthorne branch of the Madison Public Library. These major tenants will make up the majority of the commercial/retail space that we have planned on the land fronting East Washington Avenue. These tenants will bring positive energy to the neighborhood by providing a range of employment opportunities, increased area services and taxbase.
The residential portion of the neighborhood will include affordable and market rate apartments as well as for-sale townhomes. We envision a residential neighborhood that is compatible with the surrounding residential neighborhoods. Other site amenities are planned to enhance the experience for those who live, work and visit Union Corners.
- UW Health Clinic as the Anchor Tenant providing services such as urgent care, OB/GYN, primary care, imaging, and pharmacy.
- Grocery Store, Library, and Restaurant.
- Green Space, Pocket Parks featuring French Battery Brick monuments and sculptures representing Ho-Chunk Nation and Union Soldiers.
- Residential units including affordable and market rate apartments and for-sale townhomes.
